Alfred PLACE—This pair of two-seater Walnut stools was commissioned to complement a newly fitted kitchen island. Exact joinery details were used to dramatic effect such as bridle joints on the corners and through dovetails for the support rail along the floor and the footrest. Upholstered cushioned pads in cottonseed natural leather was chosen to contrast with the Walnut and match with the cabinet colour in other parts of the kitchen. The Walnut came from the grounds of Ardchattan Priory on the banks of Loch Etive, Argyll.
